GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS EDUCATION
COMMITTEE
Chairperson - Neil Ylanan, LSG Sky Chefs
The mission of the Government Affairs and Education Committee (GAEC) is to provide
information, guidance and education to the IFSA membership regarding food safety
and security. The GAEC will maintain an open dialogue with all appropriate worldwide
regulatory and legislative bodies in order to represent IFSA’s interests
before these groups and will work cooperatively toward the common goal for public
health, safety and security. The GAEC will ensure the educational needs of the
membership related to these issues as provided through the development of training
materials and facilitation of workshops. In providing such services, IFSA will
critically assist its’ members to assure safety and security; encourage
a world standard; and foster consumer confidence.

LATIN AMERICA
Chairperson - Rodrigo Decerega, Gate

Primarily concerned with increasing the level of awareness of IFSA and its’ role in airline/onboard foodservice among all companies and interested organizations located in Latin and South America and the Caribbean. This Committee also has the responsibility to produce a quality educational and networking conference in the region.
