Conference Planning Committee

Conference Planning Committee is tasked with the responsibility of producing an annual conference and exhibition of the highest quality with solid educational content and networking opportunities. With the assistance of staff, this committee spends a full year developing the next year's conference program. To ensure a well-rounded conference, the committee looks for active IFSA members from supplier companies, caterers and airlines who are willing to assist in the areas of expo, education, Chef's Competition and/or sponsorship recruitment.
Government Affairs and Education Committee

The mission of the Government Affairs and Education Committee (GAEC) is to provide information, guidance and education to the IFSA membership regarding food safety and security. GAEC maintains an open dialogue with all appropriate worldwide regulatory and legislative bodies in order to represent IFSA’s interests before these groups and will work cooperatively toward the common goal for public health, safety and security. GAEC ensures the educational needs of the membership related to these issues are provided through the development of training materials and facilitation of workshops. GAEC membership includes representatives from airlines, caterers and supplier members as well as consultants and legal counsel. Two subcommittees fall under GAEC purview, The EU Task Force, focused on regulatory issues within the European Union, and the World Food Safety Guidelines Task Force, responsible for regularly updating this comprehensive guide. Ideation Task Force

The Ideation Task Force is responsible for managing special projects that add additional value to IFSA membership. Successful initiatives include the New Product Showcase and Regional Events. At this time, the Ideation Task Force is launching a new Awards Program for 2017.
Membership Task Force

IFSA leadership recognizes that there is not a more effective marketing tool than peer to peer recruitment. This Task Force is focused on membership strategy, including recruiting new IFSA members and ensuring renewal.
Communications Advisory Council

The Communications Advisory Council works with IFSA staff to ensure our members have a unified voice on matters concerning the interests of the onboard services industry. The Council is comprised of seasoned marketing and communications professionals within the industry that represent the various segments of IFSA membership. This group assists with the development and distribution of communications, responding to media inquiries, and initiatives to enhance communication to members.
