Airport Transfers (Korea)

To get to Jeju Island, most international flights going into Korea arrive at Incheon Airport and travelers will need to transfer to a domestic flight at Gimpo airport.

There are several kinds of buses operating between Incheon Airport and Gimpo Airport.

Taxi fare is either about $35.00USD or $60.00USD depending on the taxi type.

  • Fukuoka (FUK)

Transit Hotel Information - Hyatt Regency Incheon

If you require an overnight stay in Incheon, there is shuttle service from the airport to the Hyatt Regency Incheon. It is a distinctive new landmark and a welcoming residence for visitors to the Korean gateway city of Incheon. It is located just two minutes from Incheon International Airport.  Special room rates have been arranged at the Hyatt Regency Incheon at 155,000won(incl KAL bus Ticket-one way) + only 10% tax (estimated about$175.00USD) for a standard single or double room. An International breakfast buffet is also discounted to 18,000won +only 10% tax (estimated $20.00USD) for all attendees and their guests.

Transportation on Jeju Island

Airport Bus
A shuttle bus from Jeju International Airport to Jeju KAL hotel will be available for conference attendees.  More details will be provided at a later date.

Car Rental
Roads on Jeju Island, such as the two Cross Island Highways connecting the south and north of the Island, and the highways linking east and west, are well-paved and developed. So you can enjoy your Jeju visit with convenient rental cars. Koreans who are over 21 years old and have one and a half years of driving experience are eligible to rent a car to tour the island. Non-Korean visitors to the island who have an international driving license can rent a car.

City Bus
It is inexpensive and suitable for city sightseeing. A number of regularly scheduled city buses are operated in Jeju City and Seogwipo City, the two major cities of Jeju Island. Its fare is 650 won.

Inter-City Bus
There are two types of inter-city bus service: General inter-city buses operate at 25-minute intervals and stop at each stop. Non-stop express inter-city buses operate at 20-minutes intervals and stop at big districts.

Taxi
TaxiIf you wish to travel around Jeju by taxi, you can contact Jeju Private Taxi Transportation Association (82-64-744-2793~4). Cost per day: about 80,000~120,000 won.

 

 

Passport and Visa Requirements

Any foreign visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and obtain a Korean Visa before coming. However, residents of 99 countries who want to visit Korea temporarily are permitted to enter without a visa according to visa-exemption agreements or in accordance with principles of reciprocity or national interest.
