You are invited to attend the IFSA Global Leadership Conference—Latin America and The Caribbean to be held in Panama City, Panama on Sunday, December 4 – Tuesday, December 6, 2005. The theme for this first-ever education and networking-focused conference in the region is “Bridging the Americas—Crossroads to the World.”

The constant change of the industry, including the unprecedented growth in the Latin American and Caribbean region, presents many opportunities. The host city, Panama City, is an extraordinary and fascinating locale and is considered one of the most dynamic and exciting cities in the world! Panama is called the Crossroads of the Americas for its crossroads of urbanity and pristine jungle, of two oceans and of bustling multinational life.

On Monday, December 6, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Eighth Wonder of the World—the Panama Canal. Join us to tour the Canal Museum at the famous Miraflores Locks Visitors Center, where you will enjoy a sunset cocktail party and dinner with a perfect view of the Canal as ships move from ocean to ocean. The lock gates at Miraflores are the tallest of the three (the others being Gatún and Pedro Miguel), which is due to the extreme tidal variation that takes place in the Pacific Ocean; the tidal variation on the Atlantic coast is far less. Miraflores Locks are slightly over one mile long from beginning to end.
