Foundation...
Foundation... Support the IFSA Educational Foundation by participating in the Old Montreal Walk-a-Thon. Money raised will benefit the industry by continuing to support and establish educational opportunities. Enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow participants and the ambiance of this most interesting historical walk.

Montreal...
Montreal...
The culture is rich and is certain to offer something for everyone, whether it be outdoor activities, shopping or taking in a show. A destination easy to reach and just as easy to navigate, Montreal was designed with the curious wanderer in mind.

Fun Night...
is back! This year’s Fun Night Extravaganza will be themed “The Streets of Montreal” and will offer all the sights and sounds of a real street carnival. A specially selected jazz band, The J.B. Quartet, will be performing for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Trade Show...
Trade Show... This year’s Trade Show promises to be every bit as all encompassing as last year’s… visit booths offering goods and services from (quite literally!) soup to nuts, including the latest in new products and ideas with unmatched networking opportunities!

Distinguished speakers and planned sessions include:
The IFSA Keynote speaker, John Cassis, uses a rare blend of humor, entertainment and content to entertain his audiences. John incorporates real-life examples into his presentations by sharing his experiences as a major league baseball player, minister, business owner and publisher. He is president of The Cassis Group, a consulting firm specializing in leadership, team building and motivation.

An update from Dan McQuaid, a Principle Security Inspector from the Transportation Security Administration, who works directly with major international air carriers on security related operational issues.

A culinary workshop featuring discussions on new food trends, cost effective ideas and the latest innovations in airline foods-as presented by David Groll, Director Culinary Development and Executive Chef of International Food Ingredients, and Bob Rosar, Corporate Executive Chef of Gate Gourmet.

An introduction to the IFCA/IFSA World Food Safety Guidelines-a two-year joint collaboration that represents an effective food safety control concept applicable to airline catering establishments world-wide, accepted by international airlines as the basic reference document for airline catering food safety. Presenters will be IFSA and IFCA Government Affairs Committee Chairpersons Julie Butner and Lionel Wilton, respectively.

The President's Gala...
The President's Gala...
This year’s banquet will feature the presentation of the fourth annual IFSA/ IFCA Presidents’ Award. This award is designed to recognize individuals or a group for outstanding achievements in the areas of humanitarian service, dedication to the industry and its associations, or to improvement of the environment. These achievements are characterized by a passion to excel, and a commitment to the betterment of the industry without regard to personal reward for the individual or his/her company. Inductees to the Presidents’ Award Roll of Honor will also be honored during the banquet.

In addition to the IFSA/IFCA Presidents’ Award, the J.J. O’Neill and Jenny Poole Scholarships will be awarded during the President's Banquet.

So, come enjoy dinner and dancing to the high-energy sound of Soulville in grand IFSA style. And remember, as is tradition, guest chefs will assist in the preparation of the banquet. This year’s guests are: Phil Butler with LSG Sky Chefs, Mike Baumgart with Gourmet Foods Inc., and John Boerkamp and Robert Volstuben with Air Canada.

The final official IFSA function ends at 11:30 pm. Please do not schedule any hospitality suite activity prior to that time.

Banquet Reservations
Individual seats and/or tables may be reserved for the annual IFSA President’s Banquet on Tuesday, April 29. Each fully registered attendee will receive a voucher in the conference
registration packet good for one seat at the banquet. On site, vouchers are to be exchanged for a banquet ticket, and the ticket (not the voucher) gains admittance to the Banquet. Further information regarding voucher exchanges will be provided to all conference registrants.

Need More Reasons to come?
Need More Reasons to come?

Exchange Rate… The exchange rate has never been better-you can buy more with your money in Montreal and are even able to have the national tax refunded to you upon exiting the country… your dollars stretch further in Montreal, a world-class destination for all.

Networking… Where else do these key industry contacts come together? The networking opportunities are fantastic at IFSA conferences, where a uniquely focused group of people converge.

The Gala… Don’t forget your tuxedo and festive attire for the annual President’s Gala. You’ll enjoy a special performance of Cirque du Soleil, a four-star meal and, after dinner, dance your cares away to the sounds of Soulville, the same band that entertained us last year.

Scheduling of Non-IFSA Functions
Please remember that no events are to be scheduled in conflict with official IFSA events. This would include hospitality suites, special breakfasts or dinners, recreational activities, including transportation or similar events.
