Getting There
Changi Airport (Singapore) is served by more than 70 airlines flying to more than 160 cities in 53 countries.
One of the world's best airports, the Singapore Changi Airport offers unparalleled service and facilities at its two Terminals.
There are many daily flights to Singapore, as well as direct air links with Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bangkok, Japan and Europe. Alternatively, you might take a train, if you’re entering Singapore via Malaysia or Thailand.
Getting Around
You can reach every corner of the island with Singapore’s modern public transportation system. Taxis are abundant and affordable, the bus network and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) rail system are both efficient and reliable. Detailed information on bus routes, MRT stations and fares can be found in the TransitLink Guide, a copy of which can be purchased at bus interchanges, MRT Stations and major bookstores.
Airport to Town
A convenient way to travel to and from Singapore Changi Airport is to take the MaxiCab, a six-seater taxi shuttle service operating daily from 6 am to midnight. The shuttle service stops at Concorde Hotel Singapore, Crown Prince Hotel Singapore, Excelsior Peninsula Hotel, and Marina Mandarin Singapore. The shuttle offers a flexible routing system between Singapore Changi Airport and almost all hotels within the city. Bookings can be made at the service counters at the airport’s arrival hall.
Taxi
Over 15,000 air-conditioned cabs ply local roads and provide comfortable, hassle-free travel at a very reasonable cost. They can be flagged down 24 hours a day on most roads, with well-marked taxi-stands available outside most major shopping centers and hotels. At Singapore Changi Airport, the taxi stand is located just outside the Arrival Hall on Level 1 in Terminal 1 and at the end of the Arrival Hall on Level 1 in Terminal 2 (South Wing).
Entry Requirements
The holder of a United States passport, with validity of six months or longer, does not require a visa to visit Singapore as a tourist, for business or for social visit purposes. The visitor must be in possession of a confirmed onward or return air ticket, sufficient funds and entry facilities to the visitor’s ultimate destination. The period of stay permitted is at the discretion of the immigration officer in Singapore and is normally for 30 days.

Airport Tax
A passenger service charge of SGD21 should be incorporated in the air ticket (including tickets issued outside of Singapore). If this has not been done, you are required to pay the SGD21 during check-in. Your airline will absorb the service charge.
