Airline/Hot Topics Round Tables Session Process
Monday, September 10, 2007
1100 – 1200
Houston, Texas
- Three (3) discussion sessions, each 15 minutes in duration.
- Five-minute intro explaining process.
- Five-minute break after the first two sessions to allow the participants to rotate to the next table.
- The total time for the session will be 60 minutes.
- Intro - 5 minutes
- Session #1 -15 minutes
- Rotation – 5 minutes
- Session #2 – 15 minutes
- Rotation – 5 minutes
- Session #3 – 15 minutes
- A timekeeper will monitor the length of each of the sessions and notify the participants when it is time to rotate to the next table.
- o During each of these discussion periods there will be Hot Topics subjects, each at a separate table and Airlines represented at separate tables.
- o Attendees to the session can choose when registering for the Conference which airline or hot topic table they wish to attend and rotate based on their choices for each of the 3 sessions. For example one person may choose to sit with Continental Airlines for Session #1, British Airways for Session #2 and Hot Topic #1 for Session #3, while another person may choose to sit with Hot Topic #2 for Session #1, Delta Air Lines for Session #2 and British Airways for Session #3.
Airline Round Tables Process
- Tables will be numbered and include the name of the airline hosting the table
- Each table will seat 8-10 participants depending on the number of airline representatives at each table.
- One table for each specific airline; one or more representatives for specified airline at the appropriate table.
- At each airline table, the airline representative will begin by providing welcome, rules and antitrust information. Then they will briefly provide information on company decision-making processes, procedures and identify the decision-makers for the appropriate departments. They will also detail upcoming plans related to food or cabin services.
- Once the overview is completed, the airline representative will open the table up for questions or discussion topics from the table participants.
- Towards the end of the discussion time, the timekeeper will announce a "two minute warning" allowing the airline moderator enough time to wrap up the discussion.
- At the end of the 15-minute session the timekeeper will call out for everyone to rotate to the next table of their choice.
Hot Topics Round Tables Process
- One table for each specific hot topic subject; one or more moderators for each hot topic at the appropriate table.
- At each table the Topic Moderator will identify the topic and begin discussion on the topic with the topic participants. As a suggestion the discussion should last no more that 10 minutes allowing the remaining 5 minutes for questions from the topic participants
- Towards the end of the discussion time, the timekeeper will announce a “two minute warning” allowing the airline moderator enough time to wrap up the discussion.
- At the end of the 15-minute session the timekeeper will call out for everyone to rotate to the next table of their choice.
